Hope Everyone Had a Wonderful Break

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving Break and had a chance to spend some quality family time! I went to the Ozarks with my family and we had a blast. We have 3 weeks until this quarter is over so it is imperative that we get the most out of it.

This week's agenda:
  1. Midwest Region Test on FRIDAY  (States Only and remember spelling counts!)
  2. Spelling Test 14
  3. Start Topic 17 in Math
  4. Continue Open Court for Reading
  5. Work on writing process in Language Arts
  6. Catch Up on Chiefs Watch
**Also do not forget that our nonfiction book report is due 12/15. We will put together the photo album template in class, the students will be required to complete everything else on their own. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns feel free to contact me.

No School on Tuesday, November 16

Tomorrow, 11/16, is a teacher work day and there is no school for students. Thanksgiving Break is just around the corner so it is important we work hard until then! We will be starting a new Science chapter this week, continuing on with polygons in math, and will be working hard in Open Court Reading. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns you may email or call me at anytime.

I will be absent this Friday as I head west to Boulder to cheer on the Wildcats!

Looking forward to another amazing week.

Work Is Never Done.....

Another full week is planned in 4th Grade! This week we will have our Nutrition Test on Tuesday, States WITH Capitals test Friday, Spelling Review Test Friday, and of course we took our Reading Test today! Today in class we also talked about the starting of our Reading Counts program. For the month of November we set a goal of each student earning 15 points. Any student who meets this goal will earn the right to have lunch in the room with me, and I will be supplying a delicious treat for dessert! Make sure you read every night so you achieve your goal!

There are many fun activites as well:
  1. The Book Fair is from Wednesday-Friday
  2. Veteran's Day activities on Thursday
  3. Our schoolwide Coat and Canned Food Drive
Looking forward to spending another great week with an amazing class!
